Onyx Juvenile Services has an amazing team composed of staff who have survived through trauma, hardships, homelessness, and difficult childhood experiences-but they have not just survived, they have figured out how to thrive. Now, this dynamic and diverse group of people work to provide the opportunity to others who need a helping hand, a supportive network, and words of wisdom. The culture of our team is evident in their passion for the mission of this organization.
Our history
After many years of ministry-oriented care for youth experiencing trauma, the founder of this organization found her home in the world of residential juvenile services. Finding her passion and drive to create and support the most trauma informed environment as possible, Onyx Juvenile Services was born in 2024. Currently in its organizational infancy, the founder has 20 years of experience working with youth experiencing trauma. Combined with the rest of the team, Onyx aims to provide a culture of caring and consistency while supporting the next step for individuals venturing from systemic care to independent living.
